The Waco Rowing Center offers opportunities for Waco-area boys and girls to practice daily on the Brazos and participate in regional, national, and international regattas. No experience necessary!
- Accepting 15-20 athletes.
- Practices: 4:30 pm-6:30 pm (M-F), 9:30am-12:00 (Sat)
- Athletes must be ages 12-18.
- Racing will include all local regattas, as well as opportunities to compete in larger, national, and international regattas.
Adult Competitive Program
Adults have the opportunity to practice and race at the Master’s level in regional and national regattas.
- Accepting 15-20 athletes.
- Practices: TBD
- Open to all ages.
Participants must have completed a WRC Learn-to-Row or have prior rowing experience.
WRC Membership
For $75/month, rowers can row independently using Waco Rowing Center’s (WRC) equipment and facilities.
- Can row on your own (OYO) at any time.
- Access to WRC boats, oars, and the dock.
Participants must have either completed a WRC Learn-to-Row or have prior rowing experience.
Learn-to-Rows
For two weeks every month, the Waco Rowing Center hosts a “Learn-to-Row,” where participants learn the basics of the sport out on the water.
- Open to all ages. We host learn-to-rows at separate times for youth and adults.
- 3 practices a week for 2 weeks (exact timing dependent on participants’ schedules).
Participants are encouraged to sign up for a competitive program or for our membership upon successful completion of the Learn-to-Row!
