Waco Rowing Center is a non-profit organization founded to support Waco’s youth by providing a safe haven and competitive community to push them in all aspects of their lives as a student-athlete. With a rowing-focused social emotional support system, our mission is to send more students to college with rowing scholarships.

Youth Rowing
Waco Rowing Center provides a safe, caring team community with a goal to send our rowers to college on scholarship. We provide Waco-area students with access to training, high end rowing equipment, as well as academic and social-emotional support. We’ve brought some of the best rowing coaches in the nation to Waco, where they lead our youth team in learning the sport of rowing. We currently work with La Vega ISD and Connelly ISD to provide transportation and opportunities for students to get involved with the Waco Rowing Center.
Our training center and annual regatta support our programming and student-athletes, as well as donations and partnerships from our Waco community and beyond. Find out how you can volunteer, donate, or join the team by contacting us!

Youth Swim Lessons
Along with rowing, Waco Rowing Center provides essential swimming and water safety skills lessons to toddlers, elementary, and middle school youth in Waco. Not only is swimming a critical life skill, but it’s necessary for athletes interested learning to row. Find out more and contact us to get involved.
Waco Rowing Regatta
The Waco Rowing Center is proud to host its second annual Waco Rowing Regatta, a 5k Head Race on the Brazos River, Sunday November 12th, 2023. Hosted along the banks of the rolling grass of Brazos Park East, with a rowing course traveling from the historic bridges of downtown Waco to the picturesque bluffs of Cameron Park.

About Us
The Brazos River is an untouched gem in the rowing community! Waco Rowing Center is the first rowing establishment in Waco and along the Brazos, utilizing the beautiful and underutilized Brazos River and Lake Waco for our youth’s program. We strive to provide a safe, competitive environment for Waco youth to train, compete, and become leaders in our community. Our training center and annual Waco Rowing Regatta support the continuation of our mission in sending Waco students to college on rowing scholarships.
