Waco Rowing Center is a non-profit organization founded to support Waco’s youth by providing a competitive community to push them in all aspects of their lives as a student-athlete. With a rowing-focused social emotional support system, our mission is to send more students to college with rowing scholarships.
Youth Rowing
Waco Rowing Center provides a safe, caring team community with a goal to send our rowers to college on scholarship. We provide Waco-area students with access to training, high end rowing equipment, as well as academic and social-emotional support. We’ve brought some of the best rowing coaches in the nation to Waco, where they lead our youth team in learning the sport of rowing.
Learn more about the programs we have for rowers of every level including our Learn-to-Row for anyone new to the sport and our Youth Racing team for those athletes ready to go to the next level.

Our Learn-to-Row program is perfect for beginners — no experience required, just a willingness to try something new. Once you’ve learned the basics, or if you’re already a rower, our Adult Membership gives you year-round access to our equipment, coaching, and community.

Regattas
Waco has a blend of racing venues that is unique in the region.
The Brazos River offers miles of rowable water for both racing and training. The shoreside parks and downtown location make this an ideal setting for long distance “Head” races.
Nearby Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir is equipped with a 10-lane, 2,000 meter, fully buoyed sprint race course. Housed at McLennan County Park, the venue offers the only championship race course in the state of Texas, and is well-suited to host championship-level racing.
